A bizarre video shows the moment that three men led gardai on a wild car chase through west Dublin in a stolen vehicle.
The outrageous 14 second clip starts with one of the occupants in the car filming the chase in Clondalkin as gardai follow closely behind with sirens on.
It then switches to a segment showing a garda helicopter in the air with a heavy police presence on the ground.
The video also shows the helicopter landing as onlookers watch on and gardai survey the scene at Lockview Road.
Gardai said that they pursued the vehicle in the area on Thursday morning which had been reported stolen in Leixlip on Monday.
The vehicle was discovered abandoned near the Grand Canal Banks and gardai believe that the three occupants in the vehicle all fled the scene.
A spokeswoman for gardai said that investigations are continuing.
