Video show puppy rescued from abandoned home’s chimney after neighbour spotted malnourished dog

• A malnourished puppy was rescued from the top of a chimney in an abandoned property after a neighbour spotted it peering from the roof.
• The animal welfare charity Michigan Humane partnered with the Detroit Fire Department to carry out the rescue operation.
• Fire crews utilised their engine's ladder to reach the puppy, which had become trapped in the chimney.
• The puppy, named Slack by the fire department, was safely brought to the ground.
• Slack was subsequently taken to a shelter, where it is receiving medical care and remains following the rescue.
