Video: Recapping UFC’s schedule announcement and what it means

A dizzying series of events came to a head on Monday, when the UFC announced it will cancel its shows scheduled for March 21, March 28, and April 11.

The coronavirus pandemic went from a story of growing urgency to people changing their lives on a mass level with blinding speed.

That included the entire major sports world. And while the UFC managed to get in UFC on ESPN+ 28 in Brasilia, Brazil, last Saturday, on Monday, the company finally to pull the plug on the upcoming schedule.

So what to make of all this? Watch the video above as MMA Junkie’s John Morgan walks you through the UFC’s decisions, including what might happen with the highly anticipated UFC 249 bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson, which remains on the books for April 18.
