Video of rugby fan urinating from top of stadium as England play Australia watched by over 1 million

A spectator has been handed a lifetime ban by Australian Rugby after allegedly urinating from the top of the Bill O'Reilly stand at Sydney Cricket Ground.

England secured an historic series win over the Wallabies in Sydney on the weekend. In the days since the match, video footage has emerged of a fan allegedly urinating from the top of the stands during the third Test match.

After the match he was arrested by New South Wales Police and charged with two offences, before being handed a lifetime ban on Monday.

NSW Police spoke to 9News, saying: "About 9.20pm, Saturday 16 July, a man was at a sporting stadium at Moore Park when he allegedly climbed onto the top of a scoreboard within the stadium, and onto the roof of a spectator's stand."

They said that the man was charged with 'behaving in [an] offensive manner in/near public place and climbing on buildings on scheduled lands without approval'.

The man will appear in court on July 25th where his fate will be decided. Bizarrely, according to AP News, this was actually the first time since 1986 that Sydney Cricket Ground hosted a Test rugby match.

The video was posted by Brown Cardigan on Instagram, where it pulled in over one million views. It was then reposted by Ball Carrier, where it received another 240,000 views. Viewers rushed to the comments with their thoughts, as many saw the funny side of things.

"That's 'taking the pi**' to new heights!" said one.

"The things you do to find a bit of reception." said another.
