Video of man proposing in KFC goes viral - and now they’re being offered a dream wedding

A video of a man proposing in a KFC in South Africa has gone viral after the fast-food giant began a search for the couple.

Cheers and applauds are heard in the chicken joint after the emotional woman says yes.

A stander-by filmed the footage, which has since gone viral around the world.

He posted the clip to Instagram saying: “So this just happened at KFC Evaton Plaza.”

The happily engaged couple have since been found, with KFC vowing to give them a ‘#StreetwiseWedding’.

Bhut’ Hector and his lovely bride-to-be Nonhlanhla are meeting with KFC, who say they will ‘keep people posted’ on the wedding.

MTV Base has offered to provide DJ’s for the reception, and celebrity chef Lesego Semenya has said he is happy to make a signature wedding cake for the couple.

Travel site kulula.com has also vowed to gift the couple with a honeymoon in Cape Town.

Other generous people have offered to make the bride’s dress, pay for the groom’s suit and donate rings.

UK residents took to Twitter after the video went viral, with one saying: “That KFC proposal has just warmed my heart.”

Another said: “My mind is blown at the response to the KFC proposal.”

But some users were skeptical of the decision, with one saying: “So apparently getting proposed to in a KFC is romantic... I don't think my better half would agree but good luck to them.”

Another joked: “South African twitter is coming for me because I’m saying I don’t want to be proposed to in KFC.”
