Mark Sanchez, the patron saint of the Butt Fumble, is retiring from the NFL.
The New York Post reported Tuesday that the former New York Jets quarterback is leaving the league after eight seasons to join ESPN as a college football analyst.
The USC Trojan rose to stardom early in his pro career, leading the Jets to the AFC championship game in each of his first two years in the league. Sanchez’s growing turnover problem eventually led to the end of his time in New York after the 2012 season, and he later made stops in Philadelphia, Dallas, and Washington D.C.
