VIDEO: Malik McDowell fights police officer after being tased

The Malik McDowell took a sad and scary turn after McDowell was arrested for fighting a police officer after what was supposed to be a routine traffic stop.

TMZ Sports is reporting that the incident happened in February in Lathrup Village, MI when an officer noticed McDowell’s vehicle spin out after speeding on the snowy roads.

During the stop McDowell allegedly got out of his car and into a gas station. The officer followed him and that’s when the fight erupted. McDowell was apparently tased, but ripped the prongs out and continued to fight with the officer.

He was arrested and charged with two counts of felony assaulting and resisting, 1 misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated and misdemeanor driving on a suspended license.

McDowell was a 2nd round draft pick for the Seattle Seahawks in 2017, but never played a snap in the NFL due to a head injury suffered in an ATV accident shortly after the draft.

McDowell is currently a free agent.
