VIDEO: Kevin Durant goes down with ankle injury in 4th quarter

With about 6:30 left to play in the fourth quarter against the Phoenix Suns, Kevin Durant stepped on the foot of rookie center DeAndre Ayton. After landing, Durant hit the deck and stayed down for a few minutes holding his ankle.

Durant left for the locker room, and did not return. The Warriors said that Durant’s injury was an ankle contusion.

It’s a good sign that the team feels that the injury is just a contusion at this point. Durant was able to walk back to the locker room under his own power after the injury, and didn’t seem to be in too much pain as he walked back.

Below is a video of the injury.
