Video: Jon Jones chokes willing fan unconscious at FIBO in Germany

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones worked on his choke technique during a recent trip to Germany when he put the squeeze on a fan who was more than willing to find out what it felt like.

During his appearance at the FIBO fitness trade show in Cologne over the weekend, Jones agreed to a fan request that had him apply a rear-naked choke and put the guy out cold. Not only was he happy to take it, but he was stoked afterward.

It’s not unusual for a fan to ask a professional fighter to apply a choke hold on them, be it for a photo or the actual experience. Few fighters oblige, especially after one incident years ago saw a fan attempt to sue UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes for injury. However, “Bones” was down for it, and it all ended with a good laugh.

Check out the video above.

Jones (24-1 MMA, 18-1 UFC) will return to the octagon at UFC 239 on July 6 when he puts his title on the line against Thiago “Marreta” Santos (21-6 MMA, 13-5 UFC) in the event’s headliner at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
