VIDEO: John Wall wants to prove he doesn’t have the NBA’s worst contract after Achilles injury

Before John Wall tore his Achilles earlier in 2019, he was one of the NBA’s best point guards, averaging 20.7 ppg, 8.7 apg and 1.5 spg in the 32 games he played last season.

You can see why the Wizards signed him to a supermax deal in 2017, but now that contract has become a problem if Wall doesn’t return to that level when he comes back.

As he told The Athletic, concerns like that “fuel” him, which is great that he’s trying to motivate himself to return to full strength. The only problem is there’s a long history of players who didn’t return to form after Achilles injuries. Our Charles Curtis breaks it down.
