LAS VEGAS – Gerald Meerschaert got his first win of 2020.
The middleweight fighter submitted American Top Team’s Deron Winn at Saturday’s UFC 248 event in a fun fight that went down on the preliminary portion of the card.
Meerschaert (31-12 MMA, 6-4 UFC) took some big shots early in the fight but eventually found his range, rocked his opponent and finished with a rear-asked choke in the third round.
With this result, Meerschaert bounced back from a split decision loss to Eryk Anders back in October. “GM3” is now 2-1 in his last three UFC outings.
