A Wembley spokesperson said a “small group of people got into the stadium” and would now be removed.

The disturbing footage was posted to Twitter and followed chaotic scenes in Leicester Square where fans were caught on camera throwing bottles.

Around two hours before kick-off, several fights began to break out and a number of fans have been injured by thrown missiles.

One supporter was seen next to a stadium entrance receiving medical attention for a severe cut to his head having been struck by a full beer can thrown into a throng, while footage posted on social media showed supporters rushing at least two separate entrances.
