Dramatic footage shows firefighters tackling a blaze in a taxi on St Philips Causeway.
Black smoke can be seen billowing out from the vehicle during a short clip captured on a passerby's mobile phone.
A spokesman for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said no one was injured during the blaze, on Monday (June 15) evening.
He said: "We were called at 9.06pm. Crews from Hicks Gate and Bedminster fire stations were mobilised to reports of a car fire on Barrow Road, Lawrence Hill.
"One breathing apparatus and high pressure hose reel was used.
"The incident was handed to police and the cause is believed to be accidental."
