After the Falcons were mentioned as one of the teams most interested in acquiring Rams running back Todd Gurley via trade, it seems like a logical conclusion that Atlanta is a likely landing spot for the All-Pro now that he has been cut.
The Falcons released Devonta Freeman earlier this week and have a need for a starting-caliber running back. Gurley’s former teammate and new Falcons defensive end, Dante Fowler, was among the first to suggest Atlanta as a landing spot.
