A local hairdresser was left shocked and furious after a woman ran off without paying after getting her hair and eyebrows done.
Dennis, who works at No. 5 Hair Salon & Beauty in Finglas, said the scammer came in on Saturday afternoon with no appointment.
He said: "I don't usually take walk-ins but business is slow so I did her hair without an appointment."
The woman got full head highlights, a hair cut, and an eyebrows wax and tint - a process that took four hours and cost €125.
Dennis said: "After we finished doing her hair, she asked me if she could pay in cash or card. I said cash. So she said she’ll go to the ATM which is just across the road.
"It’s about 30 metres - not far away. So I stood outside the shop and watched her. She walked past the ATM and started running to the car park.
"The car park is next to the Finglas Dealz. And after that I followed her and I couldn’t find her. I crossed the road and went over there and couldn’t find her. She was gone."

She can then be seen leaving the salon under the pretence of getting money from the cash machine.
Gardai said that there were no reports of the incident on their records.
