Video confirms reports of Chris Paul’s attempt to sabotage Steph Curry

Reports surfaced Saturday morning that Houston Rockets guard Chris Paul attempted to sabotage Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry prior last night’s potentially-decisive Game 6.

According to Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic and reported by Bleacher Report, Paul found out about Curry’s individual practice time and thwarted the three-time champion’s attempt to get on the court prior to Game 6:

Paul found out about it, traveled to the Rockets’ home arena and took the floor for himself, even denying his Golden State counterpart’s offer to split the court in half.

By Saturday afternoon, Bleacher Report was circulating a video on social media of Curry running into the tunnel following the Warriors’ 118-113 win, shouting, “Kick me off the court again, boy.”

Although Curry went scoreless in the first half, likely due to the disruption to his pregame routine thanks to Paul’s underhanded attempt to thwart Curry’s performance, the Splash Brother came back for a 33-point second half that turned the potentially-decisive Game 6 into a definitive Warriors’ victory and a trip to the Western Conference Finals for the fifth-straight year.

While Paul presumably returns to filming State Farm commercials, the Warriors tip off in the Western Conference Finals on Monday, May 14, at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN. Golden State will face the winner of Sunday’s Game 7 between the Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets.
