Video: CJ McCollum Goes Down with Scary Lower Leg Injury

Tonight, Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum went down with a lower leg injury. McCollum was visibly in pain immediately after going down:

The Trail Blazers have been going mostly unnoticed this season despite currently sitting with the 4th seed in the Western Conference. Even as history screams that the playoffs will not be kind to them, having two explosive guards on the floor with McCollum and Damian Lillard gives the team a puncher’s chance nightly. If McCollum is forced to miss any time in the playoffs due to this injury, all of sudden the same cannot be said in regards to Portland’s arsenal.

As for the rest of the regular season, missed time for McCollum could result in a damaging slide down the standings. The eighth-place Clippers are only three games behind the Trail Blazers.

UPDATE: ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski added that McCollum is set to undergo an MRI on his knee tomorrow.
