The actions of a daredevil who jumped from the canopy of a shopping plaza onto Adelaide's famous Mall's Balls have been condemned as "dangerous and reckless" by South Australian police.
Video has surfaced on social media showing a man climbing onto the transparent canopy of Adelaide Central Plaza in Rundle Mall.
He then jumps onto the top of the giant orbs, which are more than four metres in height, in front of cheering onlookers.
While it is unclear how he got down, police said they had no record of the incident being reported, so it was presumed he was not injured.
"Police are aware of the video on social media and are investigating," a spokesperson said in a statement.
"The man's actions are dangerous and reckless with potential to cause serious injury to himself or others.
"Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report on line at www.crimestopperssa.com.au".
An SA Ambulance spokesperson said they were unaware of the incident.
But it is not the first time the famed sculpture has been "conquered".
In 2013, a Kudla man was reported for disorderly behaviour after a similar stunt. In that episode, firefighters used a ladder to help the man down.
The balls are one of Adelaide's most famous local landmarks.
Officially called the Spheres, they were designed by Austrian-born visual artist Bert Flugelman, who died in 2013.
