Dashboard camera footage showing a drink driver swerving into the path of a police car has been shared with the public.
The video, released by Merseyside Road Policing Unit, shows a silver VW Golf, swerving out of its lane on the Formby Bypass last year.
Driver Karen Mahoney, 55, from Gloucester Road in Bootle narrowly missed the police car as it attempted an overtaking manoeuvre on August 16 last year.

The video footage, taken on board the patrol car, shows that around 9.20pm the Golf swerved out on the wet road conditions into the middle lane, missing the police car by inches.
After her car was stopped Mahoney failed a roadside breath test and was arrested at the scene.
After being taken to custody she provided an alcohol sample of 88 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - more than twice the legal limit of 35.
She was banned from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay costs at Liverpool Crown Court on November 16, 2020.
