Video: Brawl erupts after Jake Paul steals Floyd Mayweather’s cap at press event

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Jake Paul has done a lot of annoying mixed martial arts fighters on social media since he knocked out Ben Askren. But when he annoyed one of the greatest boxers of all time face to face Thursday, he paid the price.

Jake, who attended a news conference for brother Logan Paul’s upcoming exhibition match against Floyd Mayweather at Hard Rock Stadium, got into a physical altercation when he faced off with Mayweather in front of cameras.

Paul and Mayweather jawed away at one another as a large crowd of reporters surrounded them. That’s when Paul took it one step further.

“Got your hat!” Paul said as he swiped Mayweather’s white cap. From there, all hell broke loose.

“Don’t disrespect me!” Mayweather yelled after the two were pulled apart. “Let’s go!” Paul responded, with torn clothing.

As Paul was restrained, Mayweather charged back at the YouTube star. From there, the irate former boxing champ appeared to land a series of blows. Once pulled apart again, a ballistic Mayweather hollered that he’d kill Paul.

“I’ll kill that motherf*cker!” Mayweather repeated.

Shortly after the altercation, Paul took to Twitter to taunt and troll Mayweather some more.

went as planned

The chaotic situation comes just two weeks after Paul was confronted by Daniel Cormier at UFC 261, which did not escalate to violence.

The Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul pay-per-view event on Showtime takes place June 6 at Hard Rock Stadium.
