Video: About those fake weight issue rumors for Max Holloway …

ABU DHABI – Earlier this week, Max Holloway got hit with some actual fake news claiming he was out of UFC 251 due to weight cut issues.

Those rumors turned out to be the work of a loser troll on Twitter with nothing better to do, and Friday, Holloway stepped on the scale and hit 145 pounds without issue early in the weigh-ins window in Abu Dhabi.

Holloway (21-5 MMA, 17-5 UFC) challenges Alexander Volkanovski (21-1 MMA, 8-0 UFC) for the featherweight title in the co-main event on the UFC 251 main card Saturday at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on UFC Fight Pass/ESPN+.

Volkanovski beat Holloway this past December to win the title, and his first defense of the belt will be a rematch with the ex-champ.

Check out Holloway and Volkanovski making their weights official in the video above.
