NAGPUR: Pacer Praful Hinge's 4-for and half centuries each from openers Aman Mokhade and Prerit Agrawal helped Vidarbha record their second consecutive victory in the under-25 state-A trophy, on Monday. They defeated Odisha by 7 wickets.
Chasing 188 for a win, Vidarbha's Prerit (51; 38b, 6x4, 2x6) and Aman (85 n.o; 83b, 12x4) helped reach the destination after losing 3 wickets in just 29.2 overs. They chased at a run rate of 6.41.
Prerit and Aman gave a flying start to Vidarbha by scoring 83 runs in the 11 overs they played. Prerit was the dominant contributor and hit 2 sixes. Aman joined hands with Yash Rathod (24) and took Vidarbha close to the destination by adding 49 runs off 47 balls for the second wicket.
Earlier, Praful (10-2-23-4) proved the decision to bowl first right. He along with Dushyant Tekan (9-0-25-1) kept things tight. They bowled in tandem and created pressure on the batters.
