American international Lynn Williams has starred for Melbourne Victory as the A-League Women champions claimed a 3-2 win over Brisbane Roar.
Making the first start of her guest loan deal with Victory after debuting off the bench last weekend, Williams scored a goal and set up two more in the win at Moreton Daily Stadium.
Williams capped off a fine team move in the 36th minute to put Victory ahead, nodding home Harriet Withers' cross after she'd been found on the right via Matilda Kyra Cooney-Cross's delivery.
At the start of the second half the combination was reversed when Williams' cross from the left eluded Roar goalkeeper Georgina Worth and Withers tapped home at the back post into an empty net.
Shea Connors' 65th minute strike gave the Roar hope before Williams again turned provider in the 85th minute, weaving through the home team's defence before her cutback was steered home by Catherine Zimmerman.
Roar striker Larissa Crummer scored in the 93rd minute but it was a case of too little, too late for the home team.
It means Melbourne have a perfect three wins from three matches this season while the Roar are still searching for their first point of the campaign after back-to-back losses to Perth Glory before Saturday's match.
Victory handed a start to 16-year-old Alana Murphy with Alex Chidiac unavailable due to Queensland border restrictions having arrived back in Australia less than 14 days ago.
Matildas midfielder Katrina Gorry made her first start of the season for the Roar but was taken off at halftime.
Brisbane travel to the ACT to face Canberra next Thursday in a bottom-of-the-table clash while Victory's next game is a derby against Melbourne City on Boxing Day.
