Victorian police officer on perjury charge

A Victoria Police senior constable has been charged with two counts of perjury.

The charges come after an internal investigation, and relate to incidents while the 48-year-old man was off duty.

In a short statement Victoria Police said the officer from southern region was charged and summonsed to appear at a court, but the force did not release the court location or date.
