A Victorian police officer has been charged after allegedly kicking a person while on duty.
The male senior constable from the western region was charged with unlawful assault and assault by kicking following an internal investigation.
The charges stem from an alleged incident in Delacombe, in Ballarat's southwest, on April 3 last year.
The 35-year-old man was on duty at the time.
The office has been summonsed to appear before the Ballarat Magistrates Court in June.
