As it happened: Heavy swings deliver Labor Victorian election victory

Labor Premier Daniel Andrews has declared a triumphant return of "the most progressive government in the nation" after major swings in Melbourne's east helped to deliver his party a resounding victory.

Labor seized at least 11 seats from the Liberals, and could be on track to win more than 60 seats in the 88-seat Lower House, ABC election analyst Antony Green said.
