A women's hospital in Melbourne's north has been deemed a tier 1 COVID-19 exposure site, sending all exposed patients into quarantine.
The Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg confirmed a patient tested positive to COVID-19 after visiting a women's outpatient clinic.
"The hospital is taking an exceptionally cautious approach and in line with Department of Health advice has advised any patient at risk to get tested and isolate for 14 days," a spokesperson said.
The hospital is one of a number of exposure sites to be confirmed by the department but not listed on the public exposure sites website by Sunday morning.
More schools and childcare centres were added to the list of exposure sites overnight, including the Tarneit Rise Primary School on September 13.
Early childcare centres in Docklands, Cheltenham and Reservoir were also classified as tier 1 sites, along with an auto-repair shop in Braybrook.
Anyone who has visited a tier 1 site during the exposure period must get tested and isolate for 14 days.
