Victoria Derbyshire just accidentally used a VERY rude word referring to Jeremy Hunt

Victoria Derbyshire has accidentally referred to Jeremy Hunt using obscene language on this morning's Victoria Derbyshire Live show.

The BBC television presenter was seen referring to Hunt as "c***" in a debate on who should be the next leader of the Conservative Party .

Viewers took to Twitter to show their astonishment, sharing the footage in amusement and disbelief.

One Twitter user empathised with Derbyshire's slip-up, saying: "Sounds as though Victoria Derbyshire fell into a very easy trap on #VictoriaLIVE just now.. let's be honest, we've all done it at some point! ."

Other users seemed to be greatly surprised by the unfortunate event, with another user tweeting: "Victoria Derbyshire just said “Jeremy C***” on ‘live TV’ I kid you not"

However, other users were quick to condemn the gaffe, labelling the incident as "terrible anchoring" by the presenter.

It's not the first time a presenter has fallen foul of the Foreign Secretary's slip-inducing name.

Radio 4 today programme host James Naughtie infamously said it on live radio and hosts Justin Webb and Andrew Marr have also fell into the trap.

The footage has been widely shared on social media - but it's not the only political clip making waves this morning.

An awkward exchange between Lorraine Kelly and Conservative leadership hopeful, Esther McVey, has also got people talking.

The two used to work together on GMTV - and, reading between the lines, it seems they didn't get on too well.
