
Victoria has recorded 148 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Eight people have died of coronavirus-related causes in that time.
The Department of Health and Human Services released the information this morning.
On Monday, Victoria reported 116 new cases, its lowest daily tally since early July.
To the north, no new cases were detected in Queensland in the past 24 hours.
