Victoria Beckham terrified for Harper, 11, after stalker tried to take her from school

Victoria Beckham was afraid to leave her house after a stalker tried to take daughter Harper from school one day, a court has heard.

The former Spice Girl admitted she feared for her 11-year-old daughter's safety after stalker Sharon Bell's actions left the family scared. Bell, 58, sent David Beckham threatening letters and previously turned up at the family's London home during a terrifying five-month ordeal last year, writes the Mirror.

The situation escalated with Bell appearing at the youngest Beckham child's school, claiming: “I’m Harper’s mother. I’m here to pick her up.” Prosecutor Arizuna Asante said of Victoria: “She is now scared to go out. It has made it hard for her. She is worried, especially when Harper goes on school trips.”

In a statement read to Westminster magistrates’ court yesterday, the fashion designer added: “I tried to make very little fuss as I’m very worried about the effect it may have on Harper. I tried to protect her and I am worried about her safety.”

The court heard Bell was fixated with ex-England football ace David, 47. She first sent a handwritten letter to the family’s Oxfordshire home on July 5, 2021, telling him she planned to come to the house days later.

And in October, Bell wrote: “I do love you and have done since we were children.” David said in a statement he had never met Bell and told of his concern about her behaviour.

He added: “I felt like the language in the letters was escalating and becoming more emotional and threatening towards me and my family and this worried me. The letters were becoming increasingly threatening and obviously the female knew where I lived. It made me worried about what she would do next.”

Bell, of Watford, was charged with stalking but did not face a criminal trial because she has a mental disorder.

District Judge Michael Snow imposed an indefinite stalking protection order banning Bell from contacting the Beckhams or their four children for the rest of their lives.
