Victoria Beckham smiles in unseen throwback as she celebrates Brooklyn's 22nd birthday

Victoria Beckham is reflecting on when she became a mum for the first time in 1999.

The pop star turned fashion designer, 46, took to her Instagram page on Thursday to pay tribute to her oldest child Brooklyn - who she shares with former football ace David Beckham - on his 22nd birthday.

In the gushing post, the mother-of-four told how proud she is of the aspiring photographer and added that when he was born her "life changed forever."

The Spice Girl hitmaker penned: "22 years ago today our lives changed forever. The kindest, most beautiful soul. The most incredible son, brother and fiancé. Happy Birthday @brooklynbeckham. We love you and are so proud of the man you have become x."

Victoria illustrated the sweet message with a snap of herself as a young mum with little Brooklyn.

The heartwarming photo showed the fashion brand owner sporting a rare smile as she swung her tot - clad in a nappy - in the air.

Earlier this week, Brooklyn gave fans a treat by uploading a gallery of never-before-seen photos of him and his mum.

In one of the photographs, Brooklyn wrapped his arm around his mum Victoria's neck in a tender fashion.

Brooklyn also shared a photo with his mum and brother Romeo, who he said he loves so much.

"Love you both so much," he wrote on social media.

David and Victoria have raised their kids Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper to stay close together.

In 2018, the famous family graced the cover of Vogue and Victoria gave testament to the strength of their bond.

During the intimate interview, the former singer admitted they were "stronger" as the six of them.

She told the magazine: “We both realise that we are stronger together than we are as individuals.

"Would either of us be in the position that we are in now had we not met and been together all those years ago?

"It’s all about the family unit. We are much stronger the six of us, than we would be if we were individuals. We respect that family bond and that is key.”
