I’m going to put it out there: I’m a pretty big fan of Victoria Beckham Beauty. I know both from her output thus far, plus having spoken to her backstage and at various beauty launches over the years, that this is a woman who not only loves makeup and fragrance, but also understands what we normal (albeit discerning) folk want and need from a modern beauty bag. She has very evidently - both in terms of research and development - put in the work and it shows.
As such, I have a sizable stash of the stuff in my beloved beauty cupboard at home: The Satin Kajal Liners - so creamy but also long lasting and smudge-free. The Concealer Pen - the chicest solution for effortless, elevated skin. The brushes - calligraphy inspired - and a joy to use. The Future Lash Mascara - which gives just the lash-defining, flake-free finish that I want. Suite 302 Eau de Parfum is a slinky, grown-up ode to Paris that I return to time and time again.

And I’m far from alone in this stance: My fellow beauty editors and makeup artist friends appear to be just as hooked. Only the other day my pal, makeup artist and global creative makeup artist for Prada Beauty, Lynsey Alexander and I were indulging in one of our favourite pastimes, namely debating our favourite makeup launches with rosé and crisps.
“Victoria Beckham’s Future Lash Mascara is so satisfying and sexy and chic,” she enthused. “Have you tried it? “The whole experience is massively sensory from start to finish, and I love this. The formula is gorgeously inky, and the wand is able to build drama quickly if you need that. Importantly for me, it comes off really easily and gently. One sweep and it’s off.”
“It’s the flush you get after a fantastic laugh, a day in the sun… or any other invigorating reason cheeks might show a little colour. I can think of a few,” says Victoria
London makeup artist Francesca Abrahamovitch is another fan, recently citing her love of the VBB brushes, and Concealer Pen in an interview about one of Sofia Richie’s phenomenal makeup looks that she had created. “You can layer without it getting cakey and it looks so radiant…”
Today VB launches her new Colour Wash Blushes (£44, victoriabeckhambeauty.com) and I’m pleased to report that it’s good news once more. Sitting somewhere between a stain and a gel, these activated sea water infused beauties come in three shades: coral (my fave), flushed (VB’s go-to) and vintage rose, delivering a modern, painterly finish that *actually* looks like it’s your own and feels - even in a busy blusher market - rather unique.

“It’s the flush you get after a fantastic laugh, a day in the sun… or any other invigorating reason cheeks might show a little colour. I can think of a few,” says Victoria. “I always draw a bit across my nose and top part of my cheeks, where the sun would naturally kiss you.”
I gave this a try, drawing up the formula with the little dropper and releasing it onto the back of my hand, before buffing it into my skin with the spectacular VBB Buffer Brush as advised. And Victoria’s right. Unlike many traditional powder and cream blushes, this unusual, splashy texture delivers a diffused, seamless, shimmer-free finish that blends beautifully and looks understated but cool, fresh and totally modern. Oh and it lasts all day. Just be warned that you have limited time to do your blending before it dries….
I think she’s gone and done it again.
