Victoria Beckham reveals her worst make up fail - and why it makes her smile

Whatever you think about Victoria Beckham, it’s fair to say she always looks immaculate.

But the former Spice Girl today revealed that there have been times when she didn’t quite get her look right.

The fashion designer, who is married to ex-Manchester United footballer David, opened up today about the worst of those moments, and why it still makes her smile.

Speaking on This Morning, Victoria said: “I have so many makeup fails. Way too much lip liner in the Spice Girls, way too much lip liner.

“The American music awards was probably my worst make up look. It was just a lot of everything. A lot of eye, a lot of lip, a lot of blush.

But you know, it was the nineties, I look back at those pictures and it makes me smile. It’s been a journey, it’s brought me to where I am and made me realise that quite often, less is better.”

The artist formerly known as Posh, 45, also spoke in the pre-recorded segment about growing old gracefully.

“I like how growing older feels and I’m ok with how it looks, it is what it is, everyone is going to get older. But I don’t love how it sounds,” she said.

When it comes to looking good, VB, who has recently launched a beauty range, says it’s all about moderation.

“I like to be really, really healthy. I expect a lot of myself and my body. I have got four kids and I work a lot, so for me it’s trying to be healthy. Lots of fresh fish, vegetables, fruit, drink a lot of water.

“I’m not saying I don’t have fun - I have been known to drink a few tequilas or a few red wines. I think it’s important to get that balance right. Eating healthily, working out regularly as much as you can. But then having fun is important.”

This Morning airs weekdays from 10.30am on ITV.
