Victoria Beckham has revealed details of an emotional conversation she had with Harper on eating disorders.
The former Spice Girl, 51, discussed the sensitive subject with her daughter, 14, ahead of the release of her new Netflix documentary.
Posh explained she felt it was important to open up to her youngest child before the world learned about her battle with food issues.
During the show, Victoria disclosed that her public image became something she was able to have control over.
The model recalls one moment in 1999 where she was weighed live on air by Chris Evans on Channel 4’s TFI Friday.

Posh also admitted that she managed to hide her struggles from her family, including Harper and sons Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20.
She said: “We just had a really honest conversation, and I explained that when you have issues with food, it is all consuming.
“It is sad. It's a very lonely place. I thought it was important that she heard it from me before she saw it at the theatre.”
Before the premiere of the series, Victoria sat down with Harper to make sure she understood her struggles.

“I've talked about food with Harper before,” Posh told The Mail on Sunday. “The one thing that doesn't seem to change is that little girls think a lot about food as they're growing up, when their bodies are changing and they're going through puberty.
“My wish for Harper is that she has a really healthy relationship with food, and that she eats healthily. We all want to treat ourselves as well, but it's about balance.”
Victoria said her relatives were shocked to see the level of public humiliation and sexism she faced at the time.
“It wouldn't happen now. And the truth is, it really hurt,” she said. “Words can really hurt people – I always say this to the children. Words are so powerful, and you really have to choose your words carefully.”
Victoria's husband David, the former England football captain, previously admitted to feeling “disgusted” at the way she was treated by the media in the past.
