Victoria Beckham reveals 'biblical' £4 Ezekiel bread family eats for breakfast

Avocado on toast might now be a breakfast staple in plenty of households, but Victoria Beckham has taken hers to the next level.

The fashion designer shared a look into her family’s morning routine on Instagram, revealing that they’ve swapped their standard bread for a loaf which claims to be inspired by the Bible.

Beckham explained that the family has chosen to make Ezekiel bread a pantry staple, a type of sprouted bread which is made from mixed grains and legumes.

According to the product’s website, the recipe is ‘inspired by the Holy Scripture verse: “Take also unto thee Wheat, and Barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and Spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make bread of it.”

It is said to have a much higher protein-, vitamin-, mineral- and natural fibre-content than regular bread as a result of its varied ingredients.

She shared a picture of her preferred way of eating her luxe toast, which costs £4.30 per loaf on Vitamins UK.

Beckham covered her Biblical bread with a generous layer of smashed avocado, sprinkled with salt and oil.

She said, “We switched our usual bread for this - and even the kids like it.”

Before she has her toast, she revealed she has two tablespoons of ‘raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar’ by Bragg on an “empty tummy” daily.

She also revealed she washes down her meal with hot water with lemon, a “couple of espressos” as well as almond milk with chia seeds.

Many celebrities are known to opt for a healthy breakfast early in the mornings, with some opting for fancier options like Beckham.

Kim Kardashian’s nutritionist revealed to PEOPLE in 2016 that she has smoked Gouda, turkey sausages, Greek yoghurt and fresh blueberries first thing in the morning, while singer Taylor Swift told Bon Appetit her “go-to breakfast” consists of buckwheat crepes with ham, Parmesan cheese and a fried egg.
