Victoria Beckham makes The Kardashians debut as Kim gets cold shoulder from Anna Wintour at Paris Fashion Week

Victoria Beckham made her debut on The Kardashians reality TV show during the Season 5 premiere on Thursday and her appearance sparked some drama.

The former Spice Girl found herself caught up in a glaring fashion faux pas as Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner rocked up 20 minutes late to her runway show at Paris Fashion Week apparently leaving fellow attendees, including Vogue editor Anna Wintour, unimpressed.

Kardashian's sister, model Kendall Jenner, was walking in Beckham’s show and the family wanted to be there to support her. However, not leaving their hotel in good time to beat the Paris traffic during notoriously busy Fashion Week meant they were stuck in their car seats as their front row seats at the exclusive fashion show stayed empty.

“We are in this crush of traffic. We know we’re gonna be late. We feel terrible,” matriarch Jenner, 68, explained on the reality show that aired the the moment. “We don’t know what else to do. It’s like one road in and one road out. It’s stopped.”

In the car, she is seen asking Kim if she wanted to text Beckham, 50, to say that they’re going to be late, but her famous daughter shuts that idea down.

“I’m so nervous that we’re not gonna make the show,” Jenner told viewers. “I know how much this means to Kim, and Victoria and Kim are good friends. And Kendall’s walking the show.”

“The car ride took us an hour, so we’re 20 minutes late to the show,” Kardashian added. “I’m not late like that. I’m very respectful of people’s time and I feel really bad that we’re late.”

When they finally arrived at the event, Kardashian also told viewers that she knows the optics are bad. The episode, which was filmed in September 2023, had sparked reports at the time that Wintour, who was seated next to Kardashian, 43, at the show, was angry about the hold up.

And indeed, once the reality star arrived Wintour, 74, who greeted her with a "hi", did appear somewhat frosty.

“I know what’s gonna come — and for everyone to just start with this story that we held up the show. ‘Who do they think they are? That Anna was mad. That we don’t like each other,’” she said.

“If anything, I think we need to be extra on time, early, just not give anyone a reason to talk shit,” she added.

The fashion show started before Kardashian and her mother arrived and at one point we see Wintour, who was also seated beside David Beckham, get up and move seats, which led to speculation that she didn’t want to be next to Kim.

An insider told Page Six the two stars “took in the entire show seated beside each other and they were even photographed chatting when the media executive made her exit.”

Despite the furore, former Spice Girl Beckham seemed unbothered by Kardashian's disruptive arrival, rushing to greet the family after the show and posed with them for a series of snaps.

Beckham gushed of Kendall, who closed the show: "She is so sweet and kind to everyone," with Kardashian responding: "She's the best." Kardashian added: "I came to support Victoria, I came to support Kendall."

It seems Kim Kardashian also ended up being good with Wintour who invited her to the annual Met Gala in New York City earlier this month.
