Victoria Beckham branded 'greedy' as she sells £2k clothes after furloughing staff

Victoria Beckham has faced huge criticism for furloughing staff, despite her family's net worth of £335million.

And it seems the former Spice Girl hasn't been doing herself any more favours as she started flogging clothes worth thousands from her namesake fashion label, a move that has been slammed on social media.

The mum-of-four, 46, decided to use the government scheme to pay her staff's wages, at the cost of the taxpayer, but has now started flogging clothes worth as much as £2,200 on her website.

And it appears the label's decision to carry on as normal hasn't gone down well.

A picture of a £1,995 ruffle shirt dress appeared on Victoria's official Instagram account.

"Walking into week six," the photo was captioned.

And the comments section was full of social media users criticising Posh.

One commented: "Whilst you're walking into the pockets of the taxpayer to pay your staff."

"She's shameless," another posted.

A third wrote: "How many people's wages would this one dress alone cover the cost of? No social conscience whatsoever."

"Your actions are everything that's wrong with this world. Greedy, unnecessary and exploitative," a fourth posted.

Another said: "Desperate for more money are we? Have some consideration for the people struggling."

Victoria Beckham's reps have declined to comment on the comments on the post.

Her publicists have so far refused to say anything on the negative backlash to the decision to furlough staff.

But Posh is said to think the criticism is unfair and is said to be "sulking".
