Victoria and David Beckham hope that their daughter Harper can help to heal their alleged rift with their son Brooklyn, according to reports.
Brooklyn, 26, and his actress wife Nicola Peltz, 30, have sparked rumours that they’ve fallen out with his parents by snubbing major milestones on social media and avoiding family events.
The budding chef intensified the speculation by saying he will “always choose” Nicola in a “pointed” tribute to his partner on Instagram last week.
Sources have now claimed David, 50, and Victoria, 51, are hoping their 13-year-old daughter Harper could be the key to solving the apparent tension in the famous family.
The football legend and Spice Girls star are aiming to reconcile with their eldest son at Harper’s 14th birthday on July 10, according to The Sun.
However, another insider dashed dreams of a reunion, claiming: “It doesn’t seem likely at the moment.”

The Standard has contacted a representative for the Beckhams for comment.
Last week, Brooklyn raised eyebrows when he shared a video of himself and Nicola on a motorcycle ride in Los Angeles and wrote in the caption: “My whole world x
“I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you're the most amazing person I know xx me and you forever baby.”
His parents reportedly took the post as a “pointed message” to them that was like a “dagger to their hearts”.
Brooklyn and Nicola failed to attend Victoria’s 51st birthday last month and skipped David’s lavish 50th birthday party earlier this month, which was attended by Brooklyn’s siblings Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper.

Tensions reportedly flared after Brooklyn and Romeo stopped speaking following Romeo's relationship with Kim Turnbull - who previously dated Brooklyn's friend Rocco Ritchie.
Brooklyn is said to be suspicious of Kim’s reasons for dating Romeo, with TMZ claiming Brooklyn and Nicola now refuse to attend any family event where Kim is present.
David is thought to be worried the feud with Brooklyn could mirror his own estrangement from his father Ted in 2005.
The pair were not on speaking terms until Ted, 77, suffered a near-death experience in 2007 and they reconciled.
