Victoria and David Beckham break silence after fallout with Brooklyn with heartfelt comments about ‘good memories’

Victoria Beckham has broken her silence in the first public comment eldest son, Brooklyn, shared an explosive statement on Instagram.

Lady Victoria and Sir David Beckham responded to a poignant tribute on social media about a tender family moment.

Photographer Platon Antoniou recalled a shoot with the former England captain when his children gatecrashed the session and he witnessed a “spontaneous moment of affection”.

Brooklyn, then seven, ran up to Sir David in front of a crowd of onlookers and adoringly hugged his leg.

Antoniou shared a photo he took of the ex-Manchester United and Real Madrid star with the now 26-year-old’s name tattooed on his back.

David penned in the early hours of Saturday: “Good memories”. Singer and fashion designer Lady Victoria added: “Brings back great memories!”.

Brooklyn made a host of claims regarding his parents which included that they control narratives about his family in the press and tried to “ruin” his relationship with his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham.

The former England football captain did not answer when asked questions about Brooklyn during his public appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Recalling the shoot in Spain, Antoniou recalled: “That day his family came to visit.

“Victoria arrived with Brooklyn, who was seven years old, Romeo, who was four and Cruz, who was just a baby.

“Brooklyn and Romeo charged into the studio wearing football kits, kicking balls, doing headers and other tricks.

“While Victoria was busy with the children, I started work with David.

“At one point, Brooklyn ran on set with his football under his arm and hugged his dad’s right leg. Then, Romeo joined his older brother.

“Then, Victoria also appeared with baby Cruz in her arms. The whole family turned away from us for a private heartfelt group hug.

“It was a poignant thing to see – this spontaneous moment of affection happening on a giant photography set in front of 60 people.

“Celebrity comes with a heavy price and often it is family members who also pay.”

According to the Daily Mail, Victoria is said to be “feeling betrayed” by Brooklyn’s bombshell after her years spent protecting him from “dark stories” that “did not always paint him in the best of lights”.

A source said: “Victoria’s done everything she can to make them both feel welcome and love Nicola like another daughter.”
