Victor Orta has not been approached by Red Bull and expects to remain at Leeds United into next year and beyond, LeedsLive understands.
According to The Independent, the Whites’ director of football is being considered by the energy drink firm as a candidate for its vacant technical director role in football.
RB Leipzig, Red Bull Salzburg, New York Red Bulls and Red Bull Brasil are the main football teams associated with the brand.
However, Orta does not expect to depart Elland Road any time soon and was understood to be surprised by Thursday’s reports.
While that does not rule out Red Bull reaching out in the future, Orta has reiterated his commitment to the Whites and their project with Marcelo Bielsa.
After a difficult first year in West Yorkshire with several transfer flops, Orta’s reputation has soared after his role in snaring Bielsa and the success of Ben White, Mateusz Klich and Jack Harrison.
