Victor Orta's Adama Traore relationship and the crazy rumour linking Wolves winger to Leeds United

Former Aston Villa and Middlesbrough wide-man Adama Traore is reportedly subject to interest from Leeds United, according to 90Min.

It is reported that Traore and Wolves have come to a standstill over renewals to his contract and a reduction in playing time has left him dissatisfied with his involvement at Molineux.

Traore has been somewhat replaced by the emergence of Pedro Neto and Daniel Podence in the wide areas, which has contributed to the malaise currently felt by the former Spanish youth international.

The 24-year-old was a revelation last season in the Premier League, finally coming good on what was immense promise during his time in the youth ranks at FC Barcelona.

Bielsa's reaction after his side lost 6-2 at Old Trafford

90Min report that £40 million or beyond could be required to prize him away from the West Midlands club, owing to his 2019-20 campaign in which he scored four goals and registered nine assists, as per WhoScored.

This makes it highly unlikely that Leeds will dig deep into their pockets, especially considering Raphinha has just been added on the right side of midfield. Although, heavily anticipated San Francisco 49ers investment is imminent, with club director Angus Kinnear speaking bullishly about the club's future to The Square Ball Podcast.

Despite this, it remains unlikely that Leeds will part with such a sum on a single player - much of their recruitment so far in the Premier League has been modest, and around the £15 million mark per addition.

Victor Orta has signed Traore once before, in his capacity as director of football at Middlesbrough in 2016, but due to the winger's elevated profile in English football, a move will certainly be more expensive now than it was back then.

Leeds' style would represent one of the better-suited clubs for him to join; high-intensity and high on individual dynamism, but it would be a sizeable financial decision to make on a player whose long-term track record is still patchy.

Earlier this year in an interview with The Scouted Hub, Orta described Traore as "the most exciting prospect now in Spain," leaving little to be desired when it comes to his personal opinion of the player. That alone will not be enough to persuade Andrea Radrizzani to part with the funds, though.

With a contract at Molineux running until 2023, it remains unlikely that Leeds will be willing to part with a sum that would even begin to interest Wolves.
