Leeds United director of football Victor Orta says the club are looking to grow in the USA and Asia after the club confirmed a strategic partnership with Jay-Z's Roc Nation sport and entertainment agency.
The club this weekend announced the partnership with the unveiling of a spectacular mural that features Kalvin Phillips and Leeds legends Albert Johanneson and Lucas Radebe in The Calls area of the city.
The link-up will see Roc Nation support the club's growth internationally, with Orta telling LeedsLive what the aims of the new venture are.
"Obviously it’s a big brand, international, worldwide, we want to grow in the States, we want to grow in Asia.
"It’s one of the partnerships that shows where Leeds United is now, which process of ambition is now, now the year of the returning to the Premier League, what kind of companies are going to find synergy with us and we know all about them, about the sports, about the music, about entertainment.
"It is a reference around the world and now we choose together to start this marriage to put the Premier League Leeds United at its real level and I feel really proud. Again it shows the ambition of this club to keep growing."
Orta also paid tribute to Kalvin Phillips, who he believes is a 'symbol' of the club as he spoke at the mural's unveiling.
"To be honest it’s really impressive because Kalvin is a symbol of our club in this moment.
"It’s a real pleasure to me and for the club because it is a symbol of our team in a lot of sense. Now it’s eternal, on a wall. I hope for him and for his family, he can be really emotional but for all the team, because he symbolises our whole team, and he represents them in this moment."
