Victor Moses leaves Chelsea for Spartak Moscow in sixth loan spell away from Stamford Bridge

Chelsea have announced that Victor Moses has joined Russian side Spartak Moscow on a season-long loan deal.

The versatile 29-year-old joins a Spartak side who are 10 games into their domestic season, while Sky Sports report they will have the option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign.

Moses returned to Stamford Bridge this summer after spells with Fenerbahce and Inter Milan, where he made a substitute appearance in their narrow defeat to Sevilla in last season's Europa League Final.

The Nigerian has made 128 appearances for Chelsea, where he won both the Premier League and FA Cup under Antonio Conte, who subsequently took him to Inter.

Moses' opportunities have since been limited at Chelsea, however, having last made an appearance for the Blues all the way back in 2018.

Widespread reports had linked Moses with a return to Inter before the deal reportedly fell through on deadline day, with Moses now leaving Chelsea on loan for a sixth time, following prior spells with Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham.
