Victor Lindelof, Paul Pogba, Martial - Manchester United injury latest ahead of Atalanta clash

Manchester United will be looking to build on Saturday's 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur and make it three UEFA Champions League wins in a row when they face Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Following the 5-0 battering at the hands of Liverpool a little over a week ago, United were under huge pressure to record a positive result at Spurs on Saturday.

Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and substitute Marcus Rashford sealed a comfortable win for the Reds, easing some of the pressure on manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's shoulders.

However, the Reds cannot afford to rest on their laurels, with Tuesday evening's clash with Atalanta certain to be a stern test, as proven by their recent meeting at Old Trafford less than a fortnight ago, which saw United recover from 2-0 down to secure a memorable 3-2 win.

With the fixtures continuing to come thick and fast, Solskjaer, who has been dealt the blow of losing Victor Lindelof to a knock, is going to need as many players as possible available to him.

With that in mind, here is a round-up of all the very latest United injury and team news ahead of the trip to Italy.

Victor Lindelof

Lindelof will miss the trip to Italy after picking up a knock in training, United confirmed on Monday afternoon.

The Swede has been a regular in the starting line-up in recent weeks and his absence will force Solskjaer into at least one change at centre-back.

How long he will be sidelined for remains unexplained.

Paul Pogba

Sent off against Liverpool, Pogba currently finds himself serving a three-match ban.

However, that only concerns domestic fixtures, meaning he is free to be selected for the trip to Atalanta if Solskjaer wishes to call upon him.

He sat out the trip to Tottenham on Saturday and will be suspended for the Manchester derby against Manchester City on Saturday and trip to Vicarage Road to face Watford.

Amad

Former Atalanta winger Amad has been back on the training ground for several weeks, but question marks remain concerning his current level of fitness.

But considering that Solskjaer, speaking on Friday ahead of the clash with Tottenham, only named Pogba as his only absentee, it would suggest the Ivorian is available for selection if required.

Anthony Martial

Considering Solskjaer said Pogba was going to be the only absentee against Spurs, Martial's omission from the matchday squad did have an element of surprise to it.

Solskjaer has provided no fresh update on the Frenchman ahead of the trip to Italy, not directly, anyway, meaning he should be available for selection again.

Edinson Cavani

Cavani made all the difference by starting against Tottenham, scoring his first goal of the season and leading the line well alongside Ronaldo.

He did go off with eight minutes remaining, being replaced by Jesse Lingard, but it is likely to have been down to either cramp or fatigue setting in.

Solskjaer has not reported any concerns with the Uruguayan, meaning he should be in line for another start.
