Victor Lindelof and Edinson Cavani start - Manchester United predicted line up vs Man City

Manchester United could make three changes to their starting line up for their crucial clash against Man City this weekend.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side travel to the Etihad on Sunday afternoon as they look to end a run of three successive goalless draws in style against their fierce local rivals.

United will be looking for a much-improved performance on their dull midweek draw with Crystal Palace and as such could make a trio of changes to the starting XI from Selhurst Park.

Dean Henderson will keep his starting place in goal following David de Gea's trip back to Spain for the birth of his first child, but there could be a change in the centre of defence.

Victor Lindelof is expected to return to partner Harry Maguire at centre-back while Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw are both certainties to start at full-back.

Scott McTominay should come in for Nemanja Matic in the heart of midfield with Fred and Bruno Fernandes completing the favoured three-man selection.

Up front Marcus Rashford and Edinson Cavani both look likely to start the match with the one mystery coming on the right wing. Mason Greenwood has been poor in recent weeks and could be replaced by the rejuvenated Daniel James.

Predicted United XI vs Man City: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; McTominay, Fred, Fernandes; James, Rashford, Cavani.
