Victor Cruz wants to see Bengals draft Kyler Murray

ESPN’s Victor Cruz wants to see the Cincinnati Bengals inject some excitement into the program by selecting Kyler Murray in the 2019 NFL draft.

The former star wideout appeared on NFL Live and said Murray would bring some necessary excitement and life into the Bengals after a few down seasons.

Granted, one could argue the Bengals already got a much-needed jolt with the departure of the longtime coaching staff and the retooling from the ground up.

But Murray would be quite the jolt on his own. The Heisman Trophy winner is an unknown as far as the NFL level goes, but his combination of speed and ability as a quarterback made him a deadly weapon in college. There is the MLB conversation surrounding him, of course, but he has remained committed to the NFL process and will be at the combine.

While the idea of Murray is indeed fun, Zac Taylor has been nothing short of adamant Andy Dalton is the guy next season. It opens up the first round, but it will indeed be interesting to see how a new coaching staff and head coach with plenty of say in how the front office behaves so far reacts if a prospect like Murray makes it to them in the opening round.
