Vicky Pattison wows Sunday Brunch hosts with amazing way she helped the elderly during lockdown

Vicky Pattison left Sunday Brunch hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer massively impressed when she revealed the amazing way she has been helping elderly people during lockdown.

Vicky returned to live TV for the first time in months this weekend, admitting she was a "bag of nerves" prior to going on the popular Channel 4 show.

And, as well as trying out a host of whisky cocktails, the former Geordie Shore and I'm A Celebrity star spoke to Tim and Simon about her successful podcast - The Secret Is... and a care project she launched after being left heartbroken by the struggles faced by elderly people in isolation as coronavirus rapidly spread across the country at the start of lockdown.

Talking about Help The Elderly, which she launched in association with Age UK and a host of big name companies, Vicky, 32, explained: "You'll remember the crazy toilet roll situation and I was just so moved at seeing pictures of old people staring at ransacked shelves with empty baskets.

"I'm a Suzie Sensitive anyway and I couldn't look at another picture without doing something.

"So me and couple of friends got together to make isolation care packages with support from some amazing brands."

Vicky's Help The Elderly project saw 1,000 care packages a week delivered to elderly and vulnerable people in isolation in her native North East and she added: "We did it for 10 weeks and I'd still be doing it now if I could but the fella wanted his warehouse back!"

Reacting to Vicky doing the project, one viewer tweeted: "Have always thought she was a good egg, but how refreshing in this era of vacuous celebs that we are celebrating the fantastic charity work she is doing, organising isolation care packages for the elderly etc.

"I loved her 70s look, and her always down to earth Geordie attitude."
