Vicky Pattison has spoken out on how she feels about her body as she admits the the exercise regime and dieting that made her size six had also made her miserable.
Since coming to the nation's attention on her way to winning I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2015, Vicky said there was a pressure to look a certain way but since heading on a different path, she has felt a lot happier.
Vicky changed people's opinions who thought she was the "gobsh**e" from Geordie Shore on the way to being crowned Queen of the jungle and now she wants to let her fans know that is okay to embrace the figure you are.
The reality star has said that she much prefers being a size ten or 12 and feels far sexier as she is "naturally a very curvy person."
The Geordie star said there were times when she "felt the desire to look like the glossy pictures of perfection."
Speaking to The Sun, Vicky said: “A lot of women feel that pressure. I definitely tried to make my body something it didn’t naturally want to be."
She went on to say that it is "sad such a huge part of growing up as a woman is about dieting and numbers on the scales.
Vicky said that she is aware of her responsibility as an influencer on social media and that she tries "to have a really balanced and authentic representation of myself" on the different mediums.
She is now wanting to help push the for change as she would love it to be understood that "beauty is so much more than a clothes size or a number on the scales."
Vicky says that kindness and the wellbeing of others should be more of a priority and that it is better to "embrace your fabulous flaws".
Speaking about the photos she shares of herself on social media, Vicky said: “Nobody can say they’ve not seen my face without make-up.
"Nobody can say they’ve not seen my squishy bits and nobody can say, ‘Oh my God, Vicky’s got perfect skin and teeth and isn’t everything amazing!’"
The former Geordie Shore star said that she shows her other sides, "where I’ve had a hard day" including the "side when I’m feeling super-bloated."
She added: "It feels really liberating to take the stand and say, ‘I’m 33, I’m never going to be a size six, I’ve got boobs and a bum and I’ve got no apology about that’.”
