Vicky Pattison makes care packages for vulnerable people amid coronavirus pandemic

Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison has volunteered to help make care packages for the elderly and vulnerable during the coronavirus pandemic.

She has been helping to send out 600 packages for Age UK as the elderly are more vulnerable to the virus and may not be able to go shopping.

She also used her platform to urge people to donate money to the cause.

Beaming in a helmet and high vis jacket, Vicky crouched next to some of the boxes full of items, of which a bag of crisps was visible.

Vicky wrote: "Success has nothing to do with what you gain or accomplish in life. It is what you do for others."

She continued: "Today @scoffmeals, @yahireltd, @ercan_ram and myself as well as some wonderful volunteers in the form of @terry.ellis.96155 and the lovely Anna- boxed up our first wave of care packages for the elderly and vulnerable.

"In aid of @age_uk we are reaching out to specific communities and aiming to help as many people as possible!
