Vicky Pattison lands Heart North East role as Drivetime guest presenter

Vicky Pattison is making the switch from TV screens to radio airwaves as she prepares to join Heart North East as a guest presenter.

It's been 11 years since Wallsend native Vicky first shot to fame as an original cast member on Geordie Shore, alongside the likes of Charlotte Crosby, Gaz Beadle and Holly Hagan, as the MTV series launched to a huge reaction. Vicky stayed on the show until the end of 2014, before leaving the famous party house and going on to land her own programme on the channel, Judge Geordie.

And then, by the end of 2015, Vicky was being crowned Queen of the Jungle on I'm A Celebrity, after winning over ITV viewers with her work ethic and have a go spirit. After her win Down Under, Vicky went onto star in the likes of Loose Women, Celebrity Hunted and Celebrity Masterchef, as well having as her own shows including The Break Up and chart-topping books.

And now Vicky is now back in the North East, heading home from Essex, where she now lives with fiancé Ercan Ramadan, to take over Heart North East's Drive Time show for a week, kicking off on Monday,. November 7.

Vicky, who received wide spread acclaim for her recent Channel 4 documentary, My Dad, Alcohol and Me, will take over from usual Drivetime host Russ Morris, who is taking a well deserved holiday. Talking about her unexpected new role, Vicky said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to be stepping in to guest host the much-loved Drivetime programme. I've grown up listening to Heart North East for so many years and I cannot wait to get started!"
